Some of you may already have come across the description of how the name Sembacuttiaratchy evolved. And now my first name comes under scrutiny. “What does it mean?”, many of you have asked. And so I finally come to write this short blurb:

Roshan has its origins in Sanskrit, and means “Bright” or “Shining Light”. I have also had someone tell me that it means “Crystal”. If you know of any other meanings, then do let me know.
